(October, 2008) Regulatory Compliance - State and Federal: The frequency of new legislation is enough to make your head spin.... are you keeping up?

What compliance issues are you facing on your own? Are you aware of all state regulations that may apply to you regardless of whether you are incorporated in that state?

In twenty minutes we will make you aware of the Top Ten Compliance Issues faced by our clients in the past year.  Fortunately, they did not face them alone, but rather had the support and expertise of the Charon Planning compliance team on their side.

(November, 2008) Examining common benefit plan discrepancies that can cost thousands: Are you inadvertently Over-Promising and Under-Delivering? Do you have hidden liability exposure issues inherent in your employee benefit package?

Benefits administration is very complex.  Many employers make "promises" whether directly, or indirectly, in their Employee Handbook, in leave of absence guidelines and in memos to employees.  Unfortunately, many employers do not have their insurance company’s approval for such promises. When that happens and an employee makes a claim, the employer, not the insurance company, will be responsible for paying that claim.

In twenty minutes, we will help you to identify places where you need to be certain that your insurance carrier is in sync with your practices.  A little bit of preventive maintenance can preclude costly surprises later.
